Good afternoon everyone,
The fall is fast approaching and with that comes butchering time on the farm. We have a few updates for you all.
1.  Fall beef orders will be ready in late September.  This is earlier than expected because of the current shortage of butchers in the area. Please watch for a message from me to confirm your cutting lists.
2.  We have, after much consideration, decided to change a part of our grass fed beef farming model.  We have been raising grass fed beef for 6 years now and have come to realize that our current calf to finish operation is not profitable.  We are changing to a model where we will purchase young steers and finish them for 6 months or longer on grass using our current regenerative agriculture methods (rotational grazing, low stress handling etc).  We will do our best to source grass fed animals, but we can’t guarantee that they have never had grain in their lives.  (Just as a note: this is the same method that many other grass fed beef farmers use).  Our lamb, pork and eggs will continue to be raised the same way.
3.  We are no longer sold out of beef freezer orders. Because of what we mentioned above, we will have two more butcher animals this fall than we expected.  Please let me know if you or any of your friends and family want beef. 
4.  We currently have beef (steak, roasts, ground, stew, ribs), lamb (chops and roasts) and pork (roasts and large pack chops) cuts in stock.  Contact us with your order and we will have it ready for you to pick-up.
5. We still have pastured woodland organic pork freezer orders available for the end of November.
6.  We still have organic, grass fed lamb freezer orders available for the winter.
7.  We are opening a (very basic!!) farm stand/store in the next month or so.  We will have meat, eggs, preserves, vegetables, lip balm, salves, goats milk soap and other farm items for purchase.  Please watch for updates!
8.  Our summer farm boxes have been popular!  We will have 2 more in September and maybe one in October.  Stay tuned to our social media for information on them.
